The daughter of a woman randomly slashed in broad daylight in Times Square said Monday that her mother was left deeply “traumatized” by the attack.

“It was a very violent event, a very violent thing to do,” said the daughter, 23, to The Post, referring to Sunday’s assault on her 59-year-old seamstress mom.

“I wouldn’t wish this upon anybody — even my worst enemies,” said the woman, who asked that her name not be used.

Her mom, who has lived in the city for decades, was sliced in the right hand as she walked along Seventh Avenue near West 42nd Street around 10 a.m., cops and her daughter said.

Video shared by the NYPD shows the suspect — who remains at large — raising a boxcutter high above his head before slicing the woman.

The stabber — who said nothing before or after the brutal attack — then walks off in the opposite direction.

The victim was treated and released from Bellevue Hospital — but remains emotionally shaken by the assault, her daughter said.

“She is traumatized,” the daughter said.

The daughter said she wants to know why the slasher targeted her mother.

“I hope it wasn’t for malicious reasons,” the daughter said.

“I just want to make sure that it’s clear that we don’t know what is the motivation behind the attack,” she said. “If it’s mental health-related, I hope [the suspect is] found and receive[s] the necessary treatment. If the perpetrator had malicious reasons, I hope they’re found and prosecuted.”

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
